What is dynamic setting in welding

Dynamic also called as arc force is one of important welding parameter.
Which controls current rising rate when filler wire is in short circuit with base metal to be welded.
The dynamic arc force adjustment is necessary because alternative welding parameters,materials,
Wire sizes,gas types,and current para are used.
-VE values make the rise of current with slower speed which results in hotter and  more fluid weld.
+VE value makes the rate of  rise of current more faster so it will produce which creates colder weld conditions.

Dynamic also directly affects the properties of welding ARC and the amount of spatter.



How to set appropriate dynamic setting?

  • Select proper voltage and current
  • After that Start dynamic from zero and fine tune the welding ARC by trials in (-ve) and (+ve)
  • you can set from -9 to +9

Best dynamic setting suggestion? 

use -1 to -9 for softer arc and lesser spatter.
use +1 to +9 for rougher and more stable arc.
